We had a great Easter this year, Ellery got a new baby she spotted it so fast and immediately adopted her. She loves her babies!
Hudson was rather pleased himself

Ellery actually understood the egg hunt this year! More fun for me than her? yeah maybe, but once she spotted an egg (after being guided by daddy) she knew to grab it and it goes in the basket. I'm so proud.

On our way to church in our Easter best, the pictures in my new blog title are also Easter pictures of the kids we took the day before at my parents cabin. Already have them blown up and now I just need to decide where to put them in my house.
We spent the afternoon with family at my parents house and enjoyed eachothers company, especially my grandpa who had recently lost his wife. My grandmother passed away just a few days before Easter which made the true meaning of Easter sink in that much more. Experiences like loosing someone you love are hard, but I appreciate the way it makes me check myself and refocus on why I am here and what is most important. We spent the evening riding around on my grandpa's pride and joy.....the train. My grandpa built all the cars and he used to drive this around his neighborhood and pick up any willing riders and the kids can't get enough! Especially Ellery!

I am loving the train!
And I want to see more of the kid's pictures from the cabin :))
Hi shelley!
There is the sweetest man in our neighborhood that has picked my son and I up on his train a few times. Is your grandpa's name rob backus? The train in your pictures looks very familiar!
