We went to Arkansas!

I can't believe that I took my two babies on a plane and flew to Arkansas! Why there you ask? Well, my sister Terri lives there and now so does my bro Mark, but this was an official "sisters trip"! I have 3 older sisters and there are years that gap us in age, I'm talking 14 years from my oldest, so we haven't had much bonding time as sisters. Now we are all adults, wives and mothers so we thought it was important to reconnect and spend some quality time together. My sister Kim, my mom and I flew from AZ with a few tag-a-longs and my sister, Tonya, flew in from Seattle. We must of had so much fun that I forgot to take pictures because I hardly took any, oops!
Ellery and Hudson did quite well for their first airplane ride, Ellery hated the take-off and the landing. I suspected she would because this girl HATES elevators and it's a similar feeling of going up and coming down.

Some of the highlights from the trip include:

-Going to a Jerome-Like town but was so much cooler, wish I could go again and remember to bring my camera! there were the neatest spots for some awesome photography....one day.

-Late night chats till 4 in the morning

-Terri's pumpkin bread, I'm in love

-Dance Contest on the Kinect, yeah you know I won :)

-My first Zumba class, went with Terri, so much fun!

-Tonya trying to find my nose ring hole the entire 4 days due to a prank from Kim to make her think I was "troubled" thanks for NOT lettting me in on the joke by the way!

-Just hanging out with family and cousins

-Making memory necklaces

I caught Ally giving hudson a sponge bath with wipes and Ellery's water which had thickener in it which is pretty much a gel. So his hair was all slicked down with hair gel, it was hilarious he seemed to enjoy it.

Lunch with the ladies, missing mom

These next few pics pretty much set the tone for what our trip was like the whole time...

We went home on my 24th birthday and everyone surprised me the night before with my favorite cake, I have it every year and I actually totally forgot about it. Last year I made my own simply because its a tradition now. So thanks ya'll for all the love! they all spoiled me with little treasures!

I hope these trips happen more often from now on, being the youngest I learn a lot from these women I call my sisters and my mom. I'm grateful for their knowledge and experience, I was going through a rough patch just before the trip, no I didn't get a nose ring! It was a health thing, I think it was post partum hormonal stuff, but It messed with my brain. What would I do without some one on four with my sisters and mom? I mean Caleb is a great listener and all, but there is nothing like some good old fashioned girl talk :)

Reading this proves that I definitely take for granted that my sisters all live within 3 minutes of me.

I'm so glad you got to get away, and nothing compares to time alone with your sisters and Mom!

The feelings you have after a baby can be terrible. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I hope you are feeling more like yourself.

It was good to get to see you the other day, even if it was in passing!
