This year my sister Kim hosted our family Christmas party just a few days before Christmas. We had a great time, lots of family fun including ring around the rosies
I was so happy that my grandparents were able to come, we love them so much! My grandpa is always great with the babies and he was nice enough to take care of Hudson most of the night. I think Hudson enjoyed the love and attention!
We had the family talent show that was filled with music, piano playing and instruments. Ellery showed off her walking skills and my nephew did a puppet show.

My mom managed to whip up these costumes for our tradition of acting out the Nativity. The kids did great at each of their roles, my dad is always Mary's donkey. Isn't my neice so cute as Mary? Ellery was a sheep. I made her costume earlier that day out of an old onesie and cotton balls and old bunny ears. It was the best I could do on short notice. She didn't like it so much, she kept pulling off the cotton balls and making a mess! The ears only lasted long enough for a not so great picture. But she was a good sheep.

We did the kids secret santa exchange and the kids had a ball with all the new toys while the adults did our white elephant exchange. I must have been too into the game to take pictures because it was really fun this year. Last year we played the game giving good $20 gifts. Girls brought girl gifts boys brought boy gifts but no one knew what was what. This year we got a little crazy and decided to trade clues to the real gifts. So we each wrapped a clue and once the game of stealing was over, we gave the person the nice $20 gift. Caleb ended up with a wok and the clue was fortune cookies. I came home with a set of family games and the clue was pieces to popular games. The gift I brought was a pedicure gift card and my clue was a chinese to english dictionary and Caleb gave an emergency car kit and his clue was some of his elk meat wrapped up and he wrote "road kill" on it. Everyone was really creative and it made the game hilarious!
