Halloween

We had a good time this year for sure, our ward's trunk or treat was Friday night and I came up with the idea to turn our trunk into a monster. My brother is into music so he has recording equipment and he's just as crazy as I am so we (meaning he did all the work) made cd tracks to go along with our trunks. He did voice overs on mine to sound like my monster car was talking. It was perfect and scary, but it was so loud at the party that no one could really hear it. I was bummed. I love Halloween, it's right up there with Christmas in my book. I can't wait till my kids are older, it's fun to dress Ellery up and she sure looks cute, but I know it will be even more fun when she understands it all.

I had hopes that Ellery might be walking in time to trick or treat, so I was excited when she started pushing her cart around the week of Halloween. I wanted to really dress up the cart as her treat bag, but I ran out of time and only managed to do a little something to disguise it. She had a good time though, Daddy walked her around to each trunk and everyone just threw a piece of candy into her cart. It was cute. She was so focused on walking and Caleb had to stop her at each car, she had no clue they were giving her candy.

I saw these cupcakes online and just had to make them! Arn't they hilarious?

The second trunk or treak was my sister's ward and they had it at a member's home. They have a huge yard and they even set up a scary haunted house that I was too scared to go into.

I got to take Ellery around this time to trick or treat and she had an actual bag for the candy. She liked to hold her cat bag and acted shy at every car, which is strange for her, but I know she enjoyed it

We had to do the best part of halloween, getting back home and going through the goods. Ellery definitley got this part and enjoyed it, once she figured out what was in her bag, she kept digging for more.

Hudson thought the whole thing was pretty boring
